Separate belts put in action the pump of the amplifier of a steering, the compressor of the conditioner and the generator (fig. 2.4).

Periodically check a belt condition; at detection of defects replace a belt.

Establish the gear change lever in neutral position.

Chalk put a label on a belt.

For a bolt of fastening of a pulley turn a cranked shaft clockwise before label occurrence, thus visually check a belt condition.

On a belt following defects can be found out:

- Oil and greasing traces;

- Deterioration of edges клиновых ledges;

- Hardening of edges клиновых ledges;

- Cross-section cracks from a belt underside;

- отслоение separate ribs;

- разлохмачивание face edges of a belt;

- разлохмачивание face edges;

- Cross-section cracks in some ribs;

- Destruction of separate ribs.

In the presence of any of defects replace a belt.
