2.4.2. Adjustment of a thermal backlash of valves

Check up and adjust a backlash of valves in a following order:

- Remove the case of the air filter and the resonator;

- Turn out шестигранные bolts of fastening of a cover of a head of the block and uncover;

- Turn a cranked shaft before installation of the piston of the first cylinder in the top dead point (ВМТ) in a compression step. In this position the label "and" (fig. 2.9) on a camshaft pulley should be combined with the triangular index b on a back casing of a gear belt, and the label "with" on a pulley of a cranked shaft to be combined with the index d on the case of the oil pump;

- Check up a thermal backlash of valves and (fig. 2.11) in position of the piston of the first cylinder in ВМТ in a step of compression of inlet valves of 1 and 2 cylinders and final valves of 1 and 3 cylinders;

- Turn a cranked shaft on 360 (1 turn), thus the piston of the first cylinder will be established in position ВМТ of the first cylinder in a release step, and the label "and" (fig. 2.10) on a camshaft pulley should be combined with the index b on a back casing of a gear belt;

- In this position check up a thermal backlash and (fig. 2.11) valves of the inlet valve 3 cylinders and the final valve 2 cylinders;

- Check of a thermal backlash of valves spend щупом (fig. 2.12).

The measured size of a thermal backlash should correspond specified in Specifications, otherwise it is necessary to adjust a thermal backlash.

At adjustment of a thermal backlash ослабьте a counternut 1 (fig. 2.13) and then tighten or ослабьте the adjusting screw 2 in appropriate way.

The note In case of measurement of a thermal backlash at the hot engine warm up the engine until the electric fan of a radiator will start to work, then switch off the engine and 20—30 mines later measure a thermal backlash.
