Remove the thermostat from the car (fig. 2.29).

Be convinced that a spring of the valve of the thermostat at full opening of the thermostat. Otherwise replace the thermostat.

To check up working capacity of the thermostat it is possible so: suspend it on a thread in the glass vessel filled with water, and heat up water to boiling. For water temperature measurement use the thermometer. The thermostat should start to open at 82 With and completely to open at 95 With. Otherwise replace it.

At cooling the thermostat should be closed completely at 80 by S.Termostat which valve is not closed at water cooling, also is subject to replacement.

The full speed of a rod of the valve should be equal 8 mm.
