4.2.1. The design description

The transmission will transform a twisting moment transferred from the engine, on size and a direction, for maintenance of optimum speed and passableness of the car, for the most economic work of the engine and for movement of the car by a backing. The transmission separates the engine and transmission during a stop and parking of the car and at its movement by inertia with working engine.
Transmission details are placed in картере which bolts fastens to a back part of the engine.
The twisting moment from the engine through coupling is transferred to a primary shaft of a transmission. A secondary shaft the transmission transfers a twisting moment through differential to drive shaft. Transfer inclusion is carried out by moving sliding муфты the synchronizer. As a result the gear wheel rigidly incorporates to transmission shaft.
The mechanism of blocking of switching on a reverse gear
This mechanism prevents switching directly from the fifth transfer on back at car movement. For switching prevention on a reverse gear in neutral position the directing bolt interferes with a switching cam.

In case of switching on the fifth transfer the shaft of switching and a transfer choice turns to the right, thereby the cam keeps away aside from a directing bolt and moves upward returning a spring. Therefore switching in a reverse gear in this position is impossible because of a directing bolt (fig. 4.22).

At switching from neutral position of the lever on a reverse gear between a heel and a reverse gear the switching cam turns on the left and switching becomes possible (fig. 4.23).
Differential
The differential is united with картером transmissions and established on the chassis together with the engine. It changes a direction of giving of capacity and increases a twisting moment reducing speed.
The main transfer is established in parallel power shafts and is косозубой a cylindrical tooth gearing.
