7.1.6. The disk forward brake mechanism

The support of the brake mechanism fastens on a rotary fist two bolts. The pressure of a liquid created by pressing of a pedal of a brake, will be transformed to brake force. This force operates equally on the piston and a support. As a result the piston is put forward outside, and the support moves inside, clamping a brake disk. At сжимании force of a friction between frictional overlays brake колодок and a brake disk which promotes a car stop is created.

The prevention
Necessarily replace all колодки on one axis of the car even if one is worn out only колодка. If brake колодки are established repeatedly, they before removal are necessary for marking.

By pressing a brake pedal the brake liquid presses on the piston, moving it to the left. The piston epiploon at action of considerable pressure upon the piston moves together with the cylinder.

However, as the part of an epiploon of the piston is fixed in a flute which form corresponds to the sealant form, the top part of an epiploon is deformed in a direction of movement of the piston (fig. 7.3).
At отпускании brake pedals, pressure of a brake liquid decreases also the force of elasticity created by deformation of an epiploon of the piston, returns the piston in a starting position.
In process of wear process of brake overlays and backlash increase between a brake disk and overlays the piston moves even more, thereby, keeping a backlash the former. The epiploon can change further in shape but as the internal part of an epiploon is fixed in a cylinder flute, the deformation size remains former. The piston moves further for overlapping of distance of a backlash. As the piston comes back to identical distance, and the rubber epiploon returns the piston in a starting position, the backlash between a brake disk and brake overlays is supported at demanded level.
