7.2.8.1. Check of a brake drum

Remove a brake drum.

Check up a brake drum on absence of cracks or other damages.

Measure internal diameter of a brake drum (fig. 7.8). Internal diameter of a drum taking into account admissible limiting size of deterioration should be no more than 182 mm.

If diameter of a drum exceeds 182 mm or malfunction of a drum is found out, replace a drum.
