Diagnostics of codes of malfunctions
Dump of codes of malfunctions
For prevention of damage of the electronic block of management (ЭБУ) at a detachment or repeated connection of food ЭБУ ignition should be switched off (for example, the plug of the storage battery, socket ЭБУ, safety lock ЭБУ, crosspieces etc.). When ЭБУ establishes a diagnostic code of malfunction, the control lamp of malfunction lights up; the diagnostic code of malfunction will be kept in memory ЭБУ. When malfunction has faltering character, i.e. appears periodically, the bulb dies away, if malfunction does not appear any more. The diagnostic code of malfunction remains in memory ЭБУ, pressure of the storage battery will not be disconnected yet. The detachment of pressure of the storage battery on 10 with "will clear" memory ЭБУ of all kept diagnostic codes of malfunction.
Memory ЭБУ should be cleared of a diagnostic code of malfunction after repair end. Diagnostic tables will help to clear a diagnostic code of malfunction before use of schemes. It allows ЭБУ to establish a diagnostic code of malfunction at passage of the scheme which will help to find a cause of defect faster.
Operations of reinstallation of idling
When plugs of the storage battery, ЭБУ or safety lock ЭБУ are disconnected or replaced, execute below-mentioned procedure of reinstallation of idling:
- Turn a cranked shaft for short time and switch off ignition (without starting up the engine). Engine start-up can occur, but it not a problem;
- Start up the engine. Operation of reinstallation of idling is finished.

Unreliable connection of halves of electric sockets;
Plugs are not completely located in the socket case;
The wrong form of plugs or the damaged plugs. All plugs of a socket in a faulty chain should be checked accurately up, corrected or replaced for maintenance of appropriate contact;
Bad connection of the plug with a wire. In this case it is necessary to remove the plug from the socket case.
If at visual survey the cause of defect is not found out, the car should be operated with the connected voltmeter or сканнером to a suspected chain.

When ignition is included, and the engine is not started up, the control lamp of malfunction burns 4 with, then dies away. Pressure of the storage battery is delivered directly to a control lamp of malfunction. ЭБУ supervises a control lamp of malfunction and includes it, providing grounding through a wire of the plug 43 sockets ЭБУ to a control lamp of malfunction.
If the engine works well, check up a control lamp of malfunction.
If the cranked shaft rotates, but the engine is not started up, check up on breakage a safety lock and bad connections ЭБУ.
Especially check up ЭБУ on presence of pressure of ignition and a food by the storage battery, including clearing and fastening of connections of grounding ЭБУ.

Malfunction diagnostics does not blink a control lamp of malfunction
When ignition is included, and the engine is not started up, the control lamp of malfunction burns 4 with, then dies away. Pressure of the storage battery moves directly on a control lamp of malfunction. ЭБУ supervises a control lamp of malfunction and includes it, providing grounding through a wire of the plug 43 sockets ЭБУ to a control lamp of malfunction.
At grounding of plugs And and From a data transmission socket the control lamp of malfunction should flash at each diagnostic code of the malfunction, kept in memory ЭБУ. Constant burning of a control lamp of malfunction means short circuit on weight of the plug 43 sockets ЭБУ.
If the engine works normally, check up a lamp of a signalling device of malfunction of systems of the engine.
If the cranked shaft rotates, but the engine is not started up, check up on safety lock breakage, bad connections ЭБУ.
Especially check up on ignition ЭБУ and a food of the storage battery, including clearing and fastening of connections of grounding ЭБУ.

Diagnostics of check of pressure in fuel system
The fuel pump established in a fuel tank together with the index of level of fuel, will work until the cranked shaft or the engine rotates works and ЭБУ will receive signals from the optical gauge in the ignition distributor. If such signals are absent, ЭБУ will switch off the fuel pump during 2 with the ambassador of inclusion of ignition or 2 with the ambassador of a stop of the engine. The fuel pump submits fuel to a fuel stage and fuel atomizers where pressure of fuel system is supervised by a regulator of pressure of fuel from 380 кПа. Surplus of fuel comes back in a tank.
Order of dump of pressure in fuel system:
Uncover the fuel pump;
Remove a socket of electroconducting from the fuel pump established under a pillow of a back seat;
Start up the engine; allow to it to work to a stop caused by absence of fuel;
Turn a cranked shaft in addition during 10 with.

The prevention
The fuel system is under pressure. To avoid leak of fuel and risk of reception of damage or a burn, remove pressure in fuel system to a detachment of fuel tubes and hoses.

Do not press or do not jam fuel hoses. Because of damage of hoses there can be a leak of fuel which can become a cause of the fire and receptions of traumas.

Check of an electric chain of the main relay
When ignition is included, ЭБУ includes the main relay and puts in action the fuel pump in a fuel tank. The fuel pump will work until the cranked shaft will rotate or to work the engine and ЭБУ will receive signals from the optical gauge.
If such signals are absent, ЭБУ stops work of the fuel pump during 2 with the ambassador of inclusion of ignition.
Alternating malfunction can be caused bad connection, damage of isolation of a wire or breakage of a wire in isolation.

Check of absolute pressure in an inlet collector
The gauge of absolute pressure measures changes of pressure in an inlet collector in an inlet collector. This pressure depends on engine loading (depression in an inlet collector) and changes of frequency of rotation of the engine. The gauge of absolute pressure in an inlet collector transforms these changes to target signals of pressure. ЭБУ sends 5 To basic pressure in the gauge of absolute pressure in an inlet collector. With change of pressure in an inlet collector target signals of pressure vary. Low signals of pressure (high depression) from 1,0 to 1,5 In take place at frequency of rotation of idling. High signals of pressure (low depression) from 4,5 to 5,0 In take place at full opening throttle заслонки. Under certain conditions the gauge of absolute pressure in an inlet collector also is used for measurement of atmospheric pressure.
It allows ЭБУ to regulate car height above sea level. ЭБУ uses the gauge of absolute pressure in an inlet collector for giving of fuel and change of the moment of ignition.

Check of the monitoring system of idling
ЭБУ managements operates frequency of rotation of idling of the engine by means of the valve of the control of idling. For increase in frequency of rotation of idling ЭБУ moves the core of the valve of the control of idling from a saddle, allowing to pass большему to quantity of air through a throttle aperture. For reduction of frequency of rotation of idling ЭБУ moves the core of the valve of the control of idling in a direction to a saddle, reducing passage of a stream of air. Сканнер reads commands ЭБУ to the valve of the control of idling in impulses. High impulses mean passage большего quantities of air (high frequency of rotation of idling). Low impulses mean passage of smaller quantity of air (low frequency of rotation of idling).
If frequency of rotation of idling very high, stop the engine. Completely open the valve of the control of idling with a tester of the control of idling. Start up the engine. If frequency of rotation of idling exceeds 950 mines-1, find out and eliminate vacuum leak. Check up connections throttle заслонки or correctness of installation of idling.
Each time when disconnect or replace the plug of the storage battery, socket ЭБУ or safety lock Ef19 (it is more than on 10), it is necessary to execute the following procedure of installation of idling:
Turn a cranked shaft of the engine and switch off ignition (the engine is not started up). Engine start-up can occur, but it has no value;
Start up the engine. Procedure of installation of idling is finished.

1     Valve of the control of idling nestles on a saddle and is taken away from a saddle by a drive of the control of idling (IAC driver). Movement of the valve of the control of idling copes change of frequency of rotation of the engine. If changes of frequency of rotation of the engine does not occur, remove the valve from throttle knot and test. Connect a drive of the control of idling to the removed valve of the control of idling and include ignition. The engine do not start up.
2     This step checks quality of movement of the valve of the control of idling in a step 2. Full opening (extending) the valve of the control of idling can lead to an engine stop, but it has no value.
3     Step 2 and a step 5 supervise appropriate work of the valve of the control of idling, and check a chain of the control of idling on malfunction ЭБУ or electroconductings.

Check of system of ignition
In ignition system the optical gauge established in the distributor of ignition is used. It is located close to a disk with apertures which is a detail of the distributor of ignition. The optical gauge sends basic signals about position of the piston in the first cylinder and frequency of rotation of the engine in ЭБУ which then includes the ignition coil.

1      it is very important to check up on spark presence in all cylinders for isolation of malfunction or entrance signals or target signals of the coil of ignition.
2      At check of target signals ЭБУ (on signals of the moment of ignition) it is recommended to use an oscillograph to see change of signals of pressure. At measurement of these target signals alternating malfunction can take place. She cannot be found out the voltmeter.
3      After acknowledgement that (at the moment of ignition), ignitions arriving in the coil are perfectly in order, it is possible to define target signals ЭБУ that the ignition coil is faulty.
4      After acknowledgement that appropriate target signals of the optical gauge arrive in ЭБУ and acknowledgement of absence of malfunctions in electroconducting, it is possible to define that ЭБУ is faulty.
5      This step together with step 19 checks on pressure АКБ and grounding of the coil of ignition.

Check of an electric chain of the fan of a radiator
ЭБУ operates the radiator fan, being based on entrance signals from the gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid and conditioner inclusion/deenergizing. ЭБУ operates fan work on low frequency of rotation, internally earthing the plug 47 sockets ЭБУ. It includes the relay to low frequency of rotation of the fan of a radiator of the engine and operates with it at low frequency of rotation. Work of the fan of a radiator at low frequency of rotation is reached by the resistor of the fan of a radiator which lowers the pressure delivered to the fan. ЭБУ operates work of the fan of a radiator on high frequency of rotation, internally earthing the plug 50 sockets ЭБУ; includes the relay of high frequency of rotation of the fan of a radiator, bypassing (blocking) the resistor of the fan of a radiator. The radiator fan works on high frequency of rotation.
In the presence of complaints to an engine overheat establish, whether the cooling liquid or a measuring instrument of temperature of a cooling liquid has really boiled shows an overheat. If the engine overheats also the fan is included, check up system of cooling of the engine.
If safety locks Ef15 or Ef19 have fused right after their installations, check up on short circuit on weight in conducting of a corresponding chain. If the safety lock fuses at fan inclusion by the electronic block of management, probably, the fan engine is faulty.
ЭБУ includes the fan of a radiator for work on low frequency of rotation at temperature of a cooling liquid 93 With and switches off at 90 With.
ЭБУ includes the fan of a radiator for work on high frequency of rotation at temperature of a cooling liquid 100 With. ЭБУ switches from high frequency of rotation on low at 97 With.

Check of characteristics of atomizers
The tester of fuel atomizers is used for atomizer inclusion for a certain time, injecting the measured quantity of fuel in an inlet collector. Pressure difference in a fuel stage can be fixed (is written down and used for comparison of each fuel atomizer. On all fuel atomizers there should be an identical pressure difference in 10 кПа.
The example of check of balance of atomizers is resulted in tab. 3.20.

The prevention
The fuel system is under pressure. To avoid leak of fuel and risk of reception of damage or a burn, dump pressure in fuel system to a detachment of fuel tubes and hoses. Do not press or do not jam fuel hoses. Because of damage of hoses there can be a leak of fuel which can become a cause of the fire and receptions of traumas.
For prevention заливания the engine do not carry out check of balance of atomizers of more once (including all rechecks of faulty atomizers) without engine start-up.


Check
Time of cooling of the engine in 10 mines allows to avoid wrong indications because of fuel evaporation on the hot engine.
Check up characteristics of fuel atomizers in a following order:
Cautiously connect a measuring instrument of pressure of fuel, avoiding fuel leak;
The fuel pump should work nearby 2 with the ambassador of inclusion of ignition (the engine is not started up);
Insert the transparent tube attached to the final valve of a measuring instrument of pressure of fuel in the suitable container;
Let out all air from a measuring instrument of pressure of fuel and a hose;
The ignition switch should be in the switched off position the most smaller 10 with for end of a cycle of deenergizing of the electronic block of management;
Include ignition (without starting up the engine) for achievement of a maximum level of pressure of fuel;
Allow to be stabilised to pressure of fuel and then write down this initial indication of pressure. Wait, while movement of a needle of a measuring instrument of pressure of fuel will not stop;
Follow instructions of the manufacturer on use of conducting of an adapter;
Include a tester of atomizers and write down fuel pressure difference on him to the bottom mark. Write down size of the second indication. Subtract it from the first size for definition of a combined value of pressure difference;
Disconnect a tester from atomizers;
After ignition inclusion (the engine is not started up), for achievement of the maximum pressure once again, connect a tester to the following atomizer;
Include a tester and write down the indication of pressure of fuel;
Repeat this procedure for all atomizers;
Recheck atomizers on which the pressure difference size exceeds the established size on 10 кПа;
Replace atomizers on which malfunction, after recheck is found out;
If excess of size of pressure difference on all atomizers of the established size within 10 кПа, then atomizers work normally, in replacement of these atomizers there is no necessity;
Repeatedly connect conducting of atomizers and once again see the table of diagnostics of symptoms.
