7.2.5. Check of work of the vacuum amplifier of brakes

The vacuum amplifier of brakes reduces the effort put to a pedal of a brake, facilitating thereby driving. The principle of action of the vacuum amplifier of brakes is based on depression use in an inlet collector. At an exit of the vacuum amplifier out of operation working capacity of brake system is not broken, but for pressing of a pedal of a brake it is necessary to apply considerably большее effort.
Press a brake pedal some times at the idle engine to create in cavities of the vacuum amplifier the identical pressure close to the atmospheric.
Stop a pedal of a brake in the middle of its course and start up the engine. At the serviceable vacuum amplifier the pedal of a brake after engine start-up should leave forward. If the pedal does not leave forward, check up fastening of a tip of a vacuum hose, connection of a flange of a tip in the amplifier, a hose and union condition.
